I'll be back home in 4 days

I'm sorry I didn't post at all during my vacation. I've just been relaxing and enjoying Boston. I know you are all tired of the whole MIA speech so I'll skip all that. But I do hope you all are fine and well. But I promise I'll be back to regular blogging when I get back to Hawaii.

So this weekend will be my last out here so we're going to make the best of it. We had lobsters for dinner two nights in a row. Yum! lol. A couple of nights ago my sister took us out to eat sushi (my fave!) and we're going to another sushi place tomorrow night. Can't wait. :) I believe we're going to the aquarium tomorrow as well. That should be fun. We also went on the Boston Duck Tours. We had the best tour guide. Unfortunately I don't have any pics to share because my sister was the paparazzi as I was too lazy to take any pics. But I'll try to get some up here in my next post. But all in all I've been enjoying myself and trying to make the most out of our time here since I'm not sure when we'll be able to visit again.

We have gone shopping but I've bought mostly clothes. My only makeup-related haul was at CVS for essence of beauty brushes. Since we don't have CVS in hawaii. I also snagged the colossal mascara for 2.99 with my sister's CVS extra bucks card. that's gotta be the cheapest mascara i've ever bought. There are outlet malls here but no CCOs. :( we never had any time to go when I was at my other sister's house in California. next time, next time lol. Since I haven't bought any makeup I couldn't resist with electro flash and sonic chic from MAC. So I did a major haul online. I ordered on Tuesday morning and my hubsie told me last night that it already came in the mail. Talk about fast shipping. I should've just had them ship it here if that was the case lol. From seeing swatches on specktra and youtube, I pretty much had an idea of what I wanted so I got 5 MES duos and 5 of the blushes since I am in love with blush. Seriously I am so into blush it's not even funny. I just love how it's the cherry on top of the sundae, completing any look with a flush of color. I also had to snag a backup of Parrot e/s since it's on their goodbye list for soon-to-be discontinued items. But anyway, I'll do that haul post when I get back for sure.

cali bound in 6 hours

so the time has come. my flight leaves at 7am and i am so exhausted and tired already from packing and not getting enough sleep last night. but i'm excited. my sis got disneyland tickets so we'll be meeting mickey on thursday. ;)

i'm almost done packing lol. didn't pack that much makeup, just the essentials. which equals to 2 travel sized and 2 regular sized makeup bags. brought a few of my neutral palettes and of course the manly palette so i can still do some looks for yall lol. right now it's about 12:45am and we'll be heading out to the airport in about 3 hours. we've got a 3-hour stopover in san francisco. that should be fun. lol.

my hubsie teared when we said our goodbyes this afternoon. he's afraid jr. won't remember him when we get back lol. and to make it worse, mariah carey's bye bye song was playing LOL. i told him that i saved my blog link under his favorites on his login on our computer, so he can read about what i'm up to since i don't blog on myspace, just put up pics. and he knows how much of a broke ass i am right now so he gave me a "vacation donation". lol. thank you honey! you're the best. miss you already. ;)

time to get my Zzzs

I'm finally done with this blogger template layout business. Had to make another 'test' account so I wouldn't screw everything up lol. I know there are a few things I still need to tweak out. I lost quite a few of the links that I had (so please comment/leave a message on my cbox so I can add you again) and I also lost my sitemeter code. :( Oh well. Oh and I know Fafi is so over already but I still think they're cute. These two lil fafinettes in particular, are so sexy lol. Anyway, it's a very basic layout but I spent a lot of time on it so I"m happy with the results. It looks clean and organized. :)

Oh yes I almost forgot. ABDC's Season 2 primiere was the bomb!! I can't pick a fave just yet. Partly because the Jabbahottiez are still number one in my book lol. But it's gonna be a great season. :)

Thank you sweeties for all of your birthday wishes! =)

I took some pics with my fam when we went out to lunch that day. We went to my new favorite place to eat (I just never realized we ALWAYS eat there lol) Sizzler. :D For you gals in Hawaii, I swear, the Dillingham Sizzler is the best! They have the best service. I used to think the Pearl City one was the best but I take it back! We went to eat there on Father's Day and they had an all-day Father's day buffet complete with hot entrees, salad & dessert bar. I swear, they have the BEST clam chowder!! It wasn't watery and thin like Pearl City's. It was the thickest I ever had. Every 15 minutes we were asked how our table was doing and if we needed anything and top of that, before our glasses were half empty, they brought us our refills. The service was insanely good! They were always checking on us even though the line was going out to the parking lot. Good thing we came right after he got off of work. Anyway, sorry I'm rambling about Sizzler lol. It was so awesome, we just had to go there 2 days later for my birthday LOL. They even gave me a free huge strawberry shortcake with a candle on it and the staff sang Happy Birthday to me. It was so cute. ;)

Okay sorry for all that, it's just that awesome customer service really rocks my socks. I HATE getting bad service. >:( It pisses me off. lol.

I've been itching to re-vamp my blog with a 3-column layout but I could never ever figure it out no matter how hard I tried. So I'll be spending some time on trying to upgrade my layout.

Also, I just got me a google reader last night and I thought to myself, What the hell was I doing without one?!? lol. I know I'm probably like the last person to get one. Well anyway, I could never figure out the whole RSS/feed crap too. I'm totally clueless on it so I need to go and educate myself. lol.

I can't believe I'm leaving in less than a week. That's crazy. So much to do, so little time. =\

Yay! They won! They truly deserved it. I'm not gonna go bashing Status Quo but all I will say is that it is quite obvious why the "Jabbahottiez" won. :) The headspin for about 30 or so seconds?!? Come on people that was sick as hell.

I'm so happy I get to watch The Hills again. This season looks like it's gonna be juicy. But for some reason Lauren Conrad is the least of my faves. I used to like her but. I dunno. I don't like that she can't just let go of the damn grudge. I like Heidi more than Lauren. At least Heidi tried to woMAN up to L.C. and made the effort to make ammends. I mean, so yeah she's not friends with Heidi anymore for whatever reasons but why care if Audrina wants to be her friend. I say real friends won't let you choose who can be your friend. I just think it's childish to say "you can't be friends with her." Unless of course she messed around with your man. lol. ANYways....sorry to all you who don't watch the show.

I hauled more crap over the week. But I've been so lazy to make a damn video with my digital camera (which btw is a bazillion times better than my crappy ass webcam). I've made other little videos with my kids and whatnot but not any makeup-related stuff. I guess I'm still camera-shy which I shouldn't be because I'm so not shy in real life. lol. no seriously I am very outspoken, loud, etc. lol. Hopefully I'll get over it. I keep saying that. I mean I WILL get over it.

I'm still on the job-hunting prowl. I'm very selective though, I won't settle for less than what I'm capable of doing. I want a position that will allow me to utilize ALL of my skills and not just a few. I wanna choose the right Employer, stable with good benefits. I don't wanna wait too long though because the longer I'm unemployed the harder it'll be to actually get a job because of the gap. I'll keep ya posted.

Other than hauling more makeup that I don't need, (I need to stop that. Foreal.) same old, same old. Nothing new has happened. Changed the playlist just because, it was time for a change. And I guess looking at my blog layout also makes me not in the mood to update. It's so blah. I need a dose of fresh, a shot of new, and a side order of exciting.

Earlier today I got my son and myself ready to go to the mall to get a birthday present for my god daughter's 1st birthday party. Get this, as soon as I was done getting ready, after I got my son's diaper bag together with diapers and milk a toy and a pacifier, blanket, etc..I suddenly got a major headache! How annoying right? Seriously all I had to do was put on my jeans and top and we were out the door but noooo, a throbbing headache decides to pay me a visit. Thank god my son was starting to fall asleep so yup, you guessed it, we took a nap. A long nap, and we never left the house. Hubs was already home from work when we woke up. :( But at least we took a pic together. My daughter is at grandma's. We'll be picking her up tomorrow.

big hugs and kisses for you guys for hearing me out on my last entry. it really is a little stress-relieving to be able to vent/let off steam in an outlet such as this blog. in a way, i kinda see it as a little journal. obviously a more public one but it works for me because i've actually tried keeping a written journal many many times before but they've all failed. i would stop writing in them after a while. but i like the interaction that this gives. it's comforting to know that some of you out there can actually relate to my situations. so thank you, it is very much appreciated. ;)

lately i've been getting some headaches. i'm not too sure why. i barely get headaches but oh lord when i do..it's a bitch and a half! tylenol don't work for me. extra strength and all. now i hate taking huge ass pills so i opt for the extra strength sweet coated EZ tabs. but still, no relief. *sigh*

Vanessa posted her review for the Ardell Brow & Lash Growth Accelerator. (yay!) I was at Longs last night and was very close to tossing it into my basket when I thought to myself, "before you do that, wait for Vanessa's review." lol. no joke. so lo and behold, i read her review on it today and she gave it a 5/5. now you know what that means. i'll be back at longs tonight. lol.

i've been lurking again on youtube. i love youtube! i enjoy watching other makeup fanatics out there showin off their skills and whatnot. some of them completely blow my mind. it's crazy! i wanna get back to doing more videos (i've only made one so far). 1) i have too much damn makeup not to do a tut/review/whats-in-your-purse/etc. vid. 2) i have more than enough time on my hands. 3) why the hell not? lol. i've been seeing this wales palette and several claim that it is not bad at all. on the other hand, i've seen a few that have said that they received them with a couple of cracked/broken shadows due to poor packaging when shipped. i'm really wanting to check this baby out because of the beautiful colors. supposedly there are 10 palettes you can choose from, *1-*6 and M1-M4. they have a wide array of colors/textures in each palette. i also saw someone do a review on the palette and they swatched a green color on their finger and it was beautiful and vibrant. buuut...you know the drill with ebay. gotta do your research before you get screwed in the ass. lol. so yeah, i shall look into this a bit more. dig deeper, if you will. but anyway, here is a hilarious gal that shares her palettes with youtubers. she is really funny in this video, snappin at her adorable yorkie. lol.

what to do...

with my life. lol. no seriously. after getting over the fact that i was no longer working, i really thought that i could just enjoy my time at home with my babies and hubs. at least for a little bit. now the hubs and i do plan on having more children. at least two more to be exact because we would love to have a big family. but i've long been in deep thought about what exactly it is that i am going to do with my life. and if in fact we do have more children i sure as hell can't be enjoying my time at home all damn day. i need to work to support those babies that we wanna have. but there is no way in hell that a silly office job will do that. here's the deal. i got my associate's degree for medical assisting in '06. yay right? when i graduated and was working for the OB/GYN that i was interning for, i clearly made a decision that that was not what i wanted to do for the rest of my life. it just wasn't me. it wasn't Lani. soo...i am still paying off my loans for that. basically, my $$$ going down the drain. talk about sad. just the thought of that gets my blood boiling. but there's nothing i can do about that now. i can't go back and return my degree and ask for a refund (but oh how i wish i could lol).

i know my tax returns should be coming soon but oh effin please, that will not last as long as i would like it to last. lol. i just do not know what to do with myself right now. don't get me wrong i really do enjoy spending time with my little ones and being a house wife but i'm a gemini and if yall know geminis, we will most likely want to wear the pants and bring home the bacon or at least be on the same level as our significant others. (well, from the geminis that i personally know, not exactly every gemini on the earth). As much as I want that big family, I know that I can't just be poppin out babies and stayin at home. Especially nowadays, children are so expensive, but such blessings to have in your life. I learn a lot from my children. I believe that true innocence lies in the hearts of children. They are very forgiving. And good lord do they say the darndest things I tell ya! lol.

thanks for your responses on the whole depotting issue. i'm about 75% sure that i will start depotting. but that 25% of me still can't go through with the murder. lol. i'll keep you all posted.

i still haven't gotten around to doing an fotd. it's hard with my babies keeping me occupied. i do tell myself that as soon as they take a nap i'll do one but then i end up doing other household chores such as cleaning up around the house, picking up toys, etc. washing dishes, doing more laundry, cleaning my bathroom. the list goes on. lol. so forgive me if i haven't posted fotds. i will try harder lol.

one last thing, i seem to have fell off my diet. i just wanted to know from you guys, what keeps you motivated? i know i've somehow lost my motivation but i need to get back on track because i would like to be at a healthier weight for my son's first birthday party in late august/early september. i do have membership with 24 hour fitness but i haven't gone in a couple of months. that's sad considering how expensive it is! but please, do share your thoughts, experiences, and advice. thanks! :)

i know i've been MIA-seriously.

Aloha everyone! That is, if anyone still comes around here. I apologize, I can't believe I haven't updated this for nearly two months. Time flies!

Well I've been going through some difficult times, including being laid off from my job last month. It was rough for me. I was devastated because their reason was no where near legitimate. I was hurt because I knew that I did a damn good job doing what I did-everyday. I always gave my 120%. Always. The only good that has come out of this is that I've been able to spend more, actually all, of my time with my children now which I absolutely love. I hated coming home so late that my babies were usually sleeping by the time I walked through the door. I guess in the end I did realize that there is much more out there for me but now I just need to get out there and find it. A job that I love. A job that would never have me saying, "Ugh, I gotta go to work." A job that will make me happy. A job...as an MUA at MAC. lol. yeah right, in my dreams. lol.

Anyway, I haven't been going buck wild with buying makeup. And this was even before I got laid off. I guess I just feel like I already have a shitload of makeup, why buy more that will only collect dust? The Fafi collection came out and I was not impressed at all. I was only thinking about getting the Fafi Eyes 2 Quad but I know I already have other eyeshadows that are similar. I was disappointed that I couldn't give it a 10 on the wow-factor. Next up, Heatherette. That looks yummy. Hopefully I will have found a new job by then lol.

Fafi for MAC

PurseBuzz has shared some pics of the upcoming Fafi for MAC collection. All I can say is that this is definitely, without a doubt, going to top the Barbie loves MAC collection. The Fafi collection is brighter, a lil more girly and has some funk to it. And I absolutely love the packaging. Screw the Originals, I'm not too impressed with that collection. Like I said before the only thing I'm getting is Parrot. Other than that, I will be starting my Fafi fund. lol.



So thanks to all of you who enjoyed my first (or second) tut. I did a look the other day with my Royal Assets Metallic Eyes Palette. I didn't think it would come out too 'Wow' but I really liked it. I wore it to work and took a few pics but I really need to learn how to take better pics with my cam. The colors get washed out and doesn't show the actual colors IRL.

Tonight I will be dropping off my mom and my daughter to the airport. (Yes, I have a lil girl too but she doesn't wanna leave grandma) They will be celebrating Christmas with my oldest sister in Boston. I was a lil upset about it because my sister had already purchased their tickets before I gave birth to my son (August) and no one had asked me first. I was looking forward to my daughter and new son spending their first Christmas together but unfortunately my sister really wanted her neice to spend Christmas with her in Boston. I'm still a lil upset but there's nothng I can do. I even bought them both their Christmas outfits. My daughter has a long-sleeve that says, 'OFFICIAL PRESENT-OPENER' and my son has a bodysuit that says 'Santa's Lil Helper' with matching Santa head booties. lol.

I slept in and totally slept through the cable guy knocking on my door to hook up our digital cable box and phone. So I woke up to my cell phone beeping with a new voicemail saying that the guy came but no one was home so I need to call them to reschedule. I was a little irritated that I missed him but what can I do. Nada! I guess I'll have to reschedule.

I got out of work late AGAIN last night. Ugh. I didn't leave til almost 1 am (I'm supposed to finish @ 11pm). It was my Friday so like always, I had to make sure I finished everything that I needed to finish up. I hate leaving my unfinished work for someone else to finish. Mainly because, seriously, if you want something done right you gotta do it yourself. But I just wanted to share a few pics of the hubz and baby. The last two are what I came home to last night. After seeing that I didn't care about leaving work so late. ;)

hello ladies

i just gotta say thanks to the lovely owner of the Clumps of Mascara beauty blog, Ms. Divine Blackness. I seriously love her blog! She has a great sense of humor and it's so funny how we have the same interests/feelings about makeup/products. She's the shit so you gotta send her some love. ;)

so the gas co. guy JUST left my house and said the hot water should be on in about 20 min. good lord tell me why i went over a week without any hot water?! that is a damn shame and not to mention quite irritating as well. they couldn't turn it on the first time they came because the water heater itself was leaking and had to be replaced. as well as the whole gas line. so yesterday my landlord's certified plumber, that he's been using for years, came and replaced the heater and fixed the gas line. so i had to call back the gas co. and tell them that i could no longer wait another day for them to come and turn on my hot water and that someone needs to get their ass here TODAY. and turn it on. i admit, i was getting quite fussy over the phone but hell effin no was i gonna wait til tomorrow. they've already given me enough grief as it is and i am not going another day with boiling water just to bathe my son.

*waits 20 min...*

yay! it's on!! i knew they didn't want me to actually bring myself down there to get someone to turn on my hot water. :D

anyway, i'm off to take a nice HOT shower (my first since we've moved out) and then i'll be doing a crapload of laundry since i am off to work again tomorrow.

moving day!

today is moving day. my hubz already moved the bed and the computer into the place on his only day off (sunday) - that's all he was responsible for - the things i cannot carry/move lol. since i have 3 days off starting today, i will be taking care of the rest of our things (that i can carry myself lol). yesterday my hubz came to visit me at work when he got off and told me that he was going to walmart to get the shower curtain and dish rack and other necessities. but of course i told him that he needed to hold off on that because hello, we need to decide together what stuff we're getting lol. anyway, i'm almost off to make my first trip. it's almost 12pm but i just got up not too long ago because i left work at 3am this morning when i was supposed to finish at 11pm. (i'll vent later). i also got my stylistics/rest of my metal-x/mi'lady haul! will take pics later. i apologize in advance for lack of updates but i will be busy moving and i don't think we'll have our internet set up til sometime next week :( anyway, happy holidays to all and to all a great day!
